CBI registers case for “spiking” Narsingh Yadav’s food ahead of Rio Olimpics
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation into a case relating to alleged spiking of banned substances or drugs in the meal or drinking water meant for Wrestler Narsingh Yadav, who failed a doping test ahead of the Rio Olympics 2016.
The doping case is linked to the International wrestler stay at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre at Bahalgarh in Sonepat district of Haryana.
This case was earlier registered at the Rai Police Station in Sonepat (FIR No.261 dated 27.07.2016 U/s 328/506/120-B of IPC, 1860(Act No.45 of 1860). The complainant made allegations against a wrestler, who was a resident of Daryapur Kalan, Delhi for alleged mixing of some restricted material (narcotic) in his meal or water.
