Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today described terrorism as a virus affecting humankind and said we should unitedly fight this menace which is affecting our entire society.

The Prime Minister was addressing a huge gathering at the Aishbag Ramlila Ground here. Without collectively fighting terrorism, we cannot save humanity, he said asserting that the those who promote terrorism have to be uprooted and destroyed.

Stating that his government will do everything to root out terrorism, the prime Minister said that India is the land of Lord Krishna who destroyed evil with his “sudarshan Chakra”. At the outset, before Modo began his speech, he was presented a symbolic Sudarshan Chakra.

This is also also the land of Buddha, Modi said adding, we believe in peace but if necessary we can also fight against evil.

Modi said that the world has taken long to realize the kind of threat terrorism is posing to all of us. It is a virus and all of us should unite to fight it, he went on to underline
