Madhya Pradesh to spend Rs. 750,000 million on development of cities

mp-cm-in-londonLondon: Madhya Pradesh will spend Rs. 750,000 million on the strategic development of cities in the next three years and ensure that both the big and small cities get developed simultaneously.

This was underscored by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who sought UK’s cooperation in development of smart cities in Madhya Pradesh during his interaction with investors and smart city development experts here today. Madhya Pradesh Minister for Industries Rajendra Shukla was also present.

Addressing the investors and experts, Chouhan said that the pace of urban development will get special momentum in Madhya Pradesh with the support of UK’s smart city management experts and use of modern technology.

Referring to UK-India age-old relations, Chouhan said that the relationship should become more strong. He said that Madhya Pradesh has several unique projects apart from the smart city projects.

Chouhan met the Deputy Mayor of London Rajesh Agarwal and representatives of different companies and invited them to the Global Investors Summit being held at Indore.

Secretary to the Chief Minister Vivek Aggrawal elaborated the concept of smart city projects and briefed the investors’ group about the Action Plan of Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, the Chief Minister and the delegation members were given a warm welcome on arrival in London by the top officials of the Indian Embassy.
