Let us wage a war against poverty Modi tells the people of Pakistan

modi-kozhikodeKozhikode (Kerala): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today told the people of Pakistan that he is accepting the challenge for war but would like the two countries to wage a war against poverty and illiteracy.

The Prime Minister was addressing the BJP National Council at kozhikode in Kerala. He said that the leaders of the neighbouring country (Pakistan) used to talk of a 1000 year war. The leaders of Pakistan are now reading text prepared by those who run terrorist outfits

Modi picked this occasion to communicate directly with the people of Pakistan. “I Want to remind them that their forefathers considered this land as their own,” he said adding “the Pakistani citizens should ask their leaders when they are unable to control PoK, Gilgit, Balochistan why are they talking of Kashmir. Everyone knows how Bangladesh was formed.”

Modi further said: “both countries achieved Independence simultaneously. What is the reason – we export softwares whereas they export terrorists.”

On the “1000 year war’ that the Pak leaders keep talking about, Modi said: “My Government accepts this challenge. If you have the strength let’s wage a war against poverty. I am sure the Pak citizen’s will like it. Let’s see who wins this war.

The Prime Minister said “I want to speak directly to the young children of Pakistan. Let’s see whether Pakistan or India will win the war against illiteracy and poor level of education. Let’s fight the war against maternal and child mortality.”

He was piercing to the core and the message reverberated when he said “The Pakistani leaders should hear this. The sacrifice by our soldiers will not go waste. We will isolate you globally. The day is not far when Pak citizen’s will come out to fight against terrorism.”

We are wedded to unity and peace. Our soldiers and 125 crore people are our strength, Modi emphasised.

Indian economy is the fastest growing economy in the country. The Government at the centre is focused towards empowering the people. We are wedded to unity and peace. Our soldiers and 125 crore people are the strength and nothing can stop the progess of India, said Modi.

Today humankind is facing many challenges. Stating that we all want to make the 21st century the century of Asia. In every country all citizen’s are working towards this end but there is one country that does not want this to happen. It only wantss bloodshed and is conspiring and working in this direction. It wants to push Asian countries into war.

Every country suffering from terrorism knows that this country is responsible as it is exporting terrorism. Afghanistan , Bangladesh, whereever there is a terrorist attack, it’s roots can be traced to that country, the PM said adding India will never bow before terrorism but defeat it.

Terrorists exported by our neighboring country killed 18 of our brave soldiers at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. Let the terrorists hear this. We are not going to forget this, Modi roared

In last few months, the Prime Minister said that in last couple of months the terrorists exported by the neighbouring country have tried to cross the LoC and there were 17 such attempts. More than 110 of these terrorists have been killed by our security forces, he said and went on to observe that the Indian soldiers have been bravely fighting the terrorists to protect our country.

The PM further said:

I had the opportunity to visit the Gulf countries recently where I met the NRIs and workers from Kerala. I am so much impressed by the discipline of people from Kerala. All the leaders and heads of State also were all praise for those from Kerala.

I had addressed a political rally at the same ground more than two years ago.

Speaking on the eve of 100th Birth Anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Modi said the political thought of the last century has been influenced by three political thinkers – Mahatma Gandhi, Deendayal Upadhyay and Ram Manohar Lohiya. Their thought is relevant even today.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s ‘Antyiodaya’ (welfare of the weakest of the weaker sections) has been the guiding spirit of my Government.

Modi saluted the BJP workers of Kerala who have sacrificed their all to carry forward the party. They are a source of inspiration for all of us.

BJP and the Government of India are fully committed to see Kerala becomes the front ranking State in the country.
