More than 3 dozen junior IAS officers served show cause notice
New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training of Government of India has issued a show cause notice to more than three dozen junior IAS officers posted as Assistant Secretaries in different Ministries and departments for “unauthorised absence” during an Interactive Session with Dr. Bibek Debroy, Member NITI Ayog.
The notice issued today to the junior IAS officers directs them to show cause in writing within 3-days ( by 15 September, 2016) why they were absent and why action should not be initiated against them.
The Notice points out that some officers were found to be absent in the Session before Tea Break, some after while a dozen-and-half were absent in both sessions.
The Interactive Session with NITI Ayog Member Debroy, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and NIC team was organised at Civil Services Officers’ Institute (CSOI) at Vinay Marg here on 9 September. All Assistant Secretaries had been directed to participate.
