New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a private person, a resident of Bokaro Steel City in Jharkhand, and his associate in an on-going investigation of a case relating to forgery of Prime Minister’s signature.
The arrested accused were produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Saket Courts in New Delhi and were remanded them to police custody till 27 July 2016.
A case was registered against the main accused on a complaint regarding forgery of Prime Minister’s signature. The allegations pertain to forgery of signatures of Prime Minister of India on a letter purportedly issued by the PMO to the said accused for arranging classical music program on upcoming Independence Day.
Searches were conducted at Bokaro steel City and in Bishnupur District Bankra in West Bengal at the premises of accused which led to the recovery of large number of incriminating forged documents and articles relating to forgery of the signatures of Prime Minister of India.
