New Delhi: The University of New South Wales (UNSW) has appointed distinguished former Indian diplomat, author and educator Amit Dasgupta as its inaugural India Country Director. He will be based in Delhi.
Mr Dasgupta was India’s Ambassador to the Philippines. He served as India’s Consul General in Sydney (2009-12) and touched important milestones in his diplomatic career serving in Germany, Belgium, Egypt and Nepal. He was also Director Finance in the Ministry of External Affairs and was the first head of the Ministry’s Public Diplomacy Division.
