2 country made .315 bore pistols , 4 live cartridges, 1 Maruti Swift car seized

New Delhi:Delhi Crime Branch has apprehended 2 sharpshooters of the notorious Naveen Bali gang and seized from them two country made pistols of 3.15 bore along with 4 live cartridges and 1 Maruti Swift car (DL2C AS 7082).

With the arrest of these sharpshooters, a case (FIR No.79 of 24/05/2016) under section 25 of the Arms Act has been registered and an attempt to murder case of Bawana Police station also has been worked out.

The two arrested in this case are Sandeep Dahiya @ Bajaj (23) son of Rotash and Himanshu @ Tina (21), son of Rakesh, both residents of Ishwar Colony at Bawana in Delhi.

On 20 May 2016, an attempt to murder case was registered at the Bawana Police station (FIR No.238/16) under sections 307/34 IPC. In this case, the criminals had opened fire and injured one Dinesh in broad day light. This incident had created a sense of insecurity in the locality. After injuring the victim and threatening the local people, the criminals had fled from the scene of crime.

After this incident, a team of Central Range of Crime Branch led by assistant commissioner of Police N.K. Meena, and comprising Inspector Subhash Vats, sub inspector Gulshan Kumar, assistant sub-inspector Yashpal, head constables Kallu Singh, Sanjay Tyagi, Dinesh Kumar, Ravinder Kumar, constables Ghanshyam, Arvind, Anil Kumar, Surya Prakash and Ankit was constituted under the supervision of Addl. DCP S.K.Singh.

On 24 May 2016, a secret information was received by HC Dinesh that associates of Neeraj Bali gang, who had committed a number of crimes in West and Outer Delhi and were involved in an attempt to murder case in Bawana police station area, would come near Parshvnath Society, Khyber Pass in a swift car (No.DL-2C AS 7082). Information was also recieved that they would be armed with weapons. On getting this information, a trap was laid by the Police near Parshvnath Society at Khyber Pass. When the alleged car came to that spot, it was intercepted. Three persons, including a juvenile were in the car. They were asked to get down and searched. A country-made pistol of .315 bore along with2 live cartridges were recovered from Sandeep and a country-made pistol of .315 bore also with 2 live cartridges was recovered from Himanshu.

During interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that they are active members of Neeraj Bali gang. They were friendly with one Dinesh s/o Krishan Pal of the same locality. But a few days ago, a dispute arose between Dinesh and Sandeep and they were looking for an opportunity to teach Dinesh a lesson. On 20 May, Dinesh called Sandeep and said he wanted to meet him near the stadium. When Sandeep along with Himanshu and the juvenile reachd there armed with weapons there was a bitter altercation and Dinesh was fired at and injured. after that Sandeep and has accomplices fled away from the spot.

Sandeep Dahiya @ Bajaj has studied upto 12th class. Earlier he was running his canter on hire but for the the last six months, he is running his swift car on hire through just dial.
