Rajnath, Parrikar review security situation and developmental projects in J&K

New Delhi: The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today reviewed the security situation and developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir.

The high-level meeting was also attended by N.N. Vohra, Governor, J&K, Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor, Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag and Intelligence Bureau Director Dineswar Sharma.

The Army Chief and Intellgience Chief briefed the meeting with inputs and the steps being taken to beef up security in sensitive places.

At this meeting developmental projects and other related issues regarding the state of Jammu & Kashmir were also discussed and it was decided that decisions and action on decisions taken earlier, would be expedited, especially with regard to sparing of land not required for operational reasons. The army has restructured its requirements for land which would make land available to the State Government for various development projects.
