CBEC, harassment and corruption figure at parliamentary panel meeting

CBECNew Delhi: Most speakers at a meeting of the Standing Committee of Parliament on Finance deliberating on Demands for Grants today spoke of harassment by Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) officers corruption.

The meeting, held in Parliament Annexe here this afternoon, was attended by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and chaired by former Union Minister Veerappa Moily. Mr Singh heard the Speakers but did not say anything.
