Terrorists attack Brussels: Blasts at Zaventem airport and near EU building, 13 dead
Brussels: There were powerful explosions in the departure area of Zaventem airport in Brussels and near the European Union building this morning. At least 13 persons are reported dead and about three dozen seriously injured.
Belgian news agency Belga reported that slogans in Arabic were raised and shots were fired just before the blasts in the departure area at the airport.
All plane and train services have been suspended.
The Brussels attack comes within four days of the arrest here of a person accused of involvement in the terrorist attack in Paris last November.
