Peshawar: At least fifteen persons have been killed when a bomb on a bus carrying government officials from Mardan exploded ripping the vehicle apart near Sunehri Masjidd in Peshawar in northwestern Pakistan today.
It was a powerful blast and even windows of nearby building came shattering down.
Rescue and relief operations were immediately mounted and many persons seriously injured and dead bodies were rushed to hospital. Pakistani Taliban has been targeting Peshawar in the past. Till now no one has come forward to claim responsibility for today’s deadly blast.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has condemned the attack. In a statement he said: “These cowardly attacks cannot shatter our unflinching resolve against terrorism.”
