World Culture Festival: Modi says we have so much to give to the world
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here this evening that India has the cultural heritage and legacy that the world seeks and we can offer so much to the world. If we keep criticisng ourselves and if we condemn all that we possess, who would look at us.
The Prime Minister was speaking this evening at the opening ceremony of World Culture Festival at a sprawling venue especially prepared along the Yamuna River here. He spoke in honour of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and said that within a short span of 35 years, his mission has spread in 150 countries and won the faith, confidence and respect of people everywhere.
Through Art of Living, he has succeeded in building a new image of India in other countries, the PM added.
Modi compared the mega-Cultural event with the Kumbh festival saying this is Kumbh mela of the arts.
Welcoming the guests, who have flown in from different parts of the world to attend this festival, Modi said India is so diverse and has so much to give to the whole. The world has to remain connected not only due to economic interests but also by human values, the PM observed.
