Kanhaiya Kumar accused of misbehaving with female student
New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar, who is facing trial in court on the charge of sedition and was earlier released from Tihar Jail on conditional bail, is now entangled in two big controversies. After his remarks linking the Army with rapes in Kashmir during a speech on JNU campus on Women’s Day that have come under a scathing attack, what has further tarnished his reputation is the copy of an administrative order issued recently by JNU to impose a fine on him as he was found guilty of misbehaving with a former female student last year. The victim of this “misbehaviour” today posted on her facebook page the copy of the JNU order, which has gone viral on social media.
Kamlesh Parmeshwari, who had lodged the complaint against Kanhaiya accusing him of misbehaviour today wrote on facebook:
“Mr Kanhaiya Kumar addressed JNU community on Woman’s Day. What an Irony! Proctor Office order copy finding him Guilty of Threatening a female and Misbehaving with her. This was in context of my complaint against him in case of “Public urination, Misbehavior and threatening”. He has paid fine equal to one month salary of his poor mother! What a poor fellow he is!
Many people want to know why the copy of officer order is unsigned. I was given print out of the original office order from poctor office on my special request. The original signed version is already displayed on all concerned JNU offices. If any doubt, you can check it with Proctor office JNU.”
