AIADMK stalls Lok Sabha proceedings over ED action against Chidambaram’s son
New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was today adjourned briefly amid slogan shouting by the AIADMK members over the reported Enforcement Directorate’s action against a firm allegedly controlled by former Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti.
Amidst slogan shouting by AIADMK members former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said in Rajya Sabha that the protest was stage-managed by the ruling side to deflect attention from others from the ruling side who were facing action.
Karti has denied all charges and said all his dealings are fair.
Chidambaram is presently at the centre of a raging controversy after the former Home Secretary G.K. Pillai told a television news channel that Chidambaram had got the LeT reference reoved from the Ishrat Jahan case affidavit. The former Home Minister has lashed out against Pillai and questioned the credibility of his charge.
