Railway Budget geared to overcome challenges

Indian RailwaysNew Delhi: The Railway Budget presented in Parliament today by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu centres round the theme that focuses on overcoming challenges through a process of reorganising, restructuring and rejuvenating the reailways. The projected strategy is to target new revenues, pay attention to building new norms and build new structures.

In his presentation, the Railway Minister underscored that in terms of Financial Performance, savings of Rs. 6720 crore during 2015-16 has helped in neutralizing most of the revenue shortfall of Indian Railways.
