Dubai: Could you imagine that the best dressed award even can be won on the basis of just your boots.
Dubai: Could you imagine that the best dress award even can be won on the basis of foot wear. “Yes, this is exactly what happened with New zealander Andrea Anstiss who won this years best dressed fan award at the ladies day at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship on February 17. The event revolving around the theme -Bags, bling and a bit of comfort – was organised by the Tabloid of Gulf News – a popular news daily.
This colourful event was an instant hit as women folk from many different countries like UK, India, Germany, and New Zeland participated in this event flaunting their unique branded branded outfit.
While choosing Andrea,the best dressed lady, the two judges – world number 21- Elina Svitolina and Sinead Al Sibai Vice President of marketing for Dubai Duty free-both said Andrea looks stylish,trendy and modern.
Surprisingly indeed, Andrea won contest more because of her unique boots that were loved by the two ladies judge.They were so much impressed by her footwear,that Al Sibai was glad to share that both absolutely loved them as they are just perfect for this winter season of UAE.
The award was equally surprised Andria (54), who said after being declared the winner: “I never expected this,I came here to give company to my tennis mad friend and was not aiming to win the competition.”
Moreover, Hazel Sullivan (80), who was the oldest lady in the contest caught the attention of the two judges by her eye catching earrings and a pearl necklace that was blending together with her classic dress. About her Al Saibi said,”I hope I look like that when I’m 80.”
The one day function earlier this week coincided with the ladies nights in Dubai.
