The prime Minister described the exclusive crop insurance scheme for farmers that would protect them from recurring losses due to crop failure. The prime Minister especially chose this occasion to jab the political opponents on the issue of farmers’ welfare.
“The former Atal Behari Vajpayee government had launched a crop insurance scheme. After the Congress led United Progressive Alliance Government came to power many amendments were brought to this scheme and this led to compromising the interests of the farmers, the PM added.
The success of today’s rally is being seen as a feather in the cap of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who obviously is emboldened by ruling BJP’s victory in the Maihar Assembly by election earlier this week
