Seven killed in a Pak bomb blast in Peshawar
Peshawar : At least seven people have been killed and a few others injured in a bomb blast in Pakistan. according to police officials, a bomb blast took place close to a police checkpoint in north-western Pakistan, which resulted in causing fatalities to seven persons and wounding few locals in the area.
About 20 people have been wounded in the blast, which took place in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on the outskirts of Peshawar. A highly prone area, the place has stood witness to fierce fighting in the region between security forces and the Pakistani Taliban. Although deaths have been confirmed by police authorities and injuries are admitted to the medical facilities in the closest area available, no group has yet claimed responsibility of carrying out the attack.
TV footage of the latest attack revealed a pathetic condition of blowing off of vehicles due to the impact of the blast, as vehicles parked near the blast site burst and blew atop on fire engulf, immediately after the explosion. The exact location of the blast, as reported by local media confirmed that the bomb went off near Peshawar’s Karkhano Market. Few eyewitnesses added, they could observe that the bomb was planted on a motorbike, however, few other locals claim of having seen a suicide attack. The police is yet to confirm on the nature of attack.
