New Delhi : Minor tremors were felt in parts of Delhi and adjoining areas late at night after an earthquake of magnitude 3.0 on the Richter Scale struck the National Capital Region. Indian Meterological department informed that the tremors were felt around 1:40 am for a few seconds and the epicenter was the Delhi-NCR region. There have not been any reports of major damage so far.
Deputy Commissioner of Police North Delhi Madhur Verma tweeted – Just checked from Emergency operation centre of Delhi as well as Police control room.. No damage has been reported so far #Earthquake.
The impact of an earthquake of magnitude 3.0 does not result in any major damages. However, some families have posted on twitter about mild concrete cracks in walls and roofs, and very minor damages in their premises and around the vicinity of NCR region.
