Bihar : Bihar has geared up for upcoming polls next week and war of words have begun grabbing highlights every day, ranging from speeches made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi or BJP President Amit Shah.
The latest addition came from AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) party, which is contesting in six out of twenty seats in Seemanchal region, a Muslim dominated region. Akbaruddin Owasi, AIMIM leader infamous for his provocative speeches since yester years, now faces legal action due to his provocative remarks made by him at a rally in Bihar last week, as complaint lodged against him stated that his speech could be described as one promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion.
Owaisi addressed a a public meeting on Sunday at a village in Kishanganj district, where he allegedly used derogatory remarks against BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was campaigning for his party member, leader of AIMIM state party unit, Akhtarul Iman, who is contesting for the Kochadhaman seat – where Muslims form 70% of the electorate.
