Bangkok: Police investigating the August 17 blasts at the Erawan shrine here, expanded the scope of their probe for more suspects on Sunday after a foreigner was nabbed with fake passports and explosive material during a raid on an apartment block
The detained 28-year-old man, who has been in Thailand since January last year, is being interogated for possessing the explosives.
Fourteen outsiders, seven from terrain China and Hong Kong, were among the 20 killed in the terror attack.
Police has been the target of criticism and has been accused of poor ivestigation but over this weekend it gained some success in getting hold of some definite clues. Till now no group has come forward to claim responsibility for the blast.
Deputy national police chief Chaktip Chaijinda has told a segment of the media that more suspects were being looked for.
