Bomb explosion at a shrine in Bangkok leaves at least 15 dead

Bangkok explosionBangkok: A massive explosion at a popular shrine in Thai capital Bangkok today at 6.55 pm has left at least 15 persons dead and several injured.

The powerful explosion ripped through the Erawan Shrine devoted to Lord Brahma the creator.

The shrine in Chidlom district is popular with tourists and Thai people. Thai police said the explosion was caused by a bomb on a motorcycle. It left a big crater and body parts lay scattered at the scene.
