BJP trounces Congress in MP civic polls

Bhopal:  The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has scored a massive victory in cvic polls in Madhya Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has posted on twitter: :MP Civic Poll results are gladdening. I thank people of MP for reposing their trust in BJP. I salute efforts of Karyakartas (workers) and party leaders.”

State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has described the electoral success as people’s mandate in suppport of BJP’s ideology, Prime Minister Modi’s revolutionary leadership and the party workers’ hard work.

The chief Minister today afternoon reached the BJP headquarters in the State capital and congratulated the people on “BJP’s historic victory”.

Chouhan said that the people have given a huge responsibility and the Government along with party workers will leave no stone unturned to meet their hopes and aspirations. The Chief Minister was received at the State BJP headquarters by State party President Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, Bhopal Mayor and district BJP president Alok Sharma.

The BJP has won the newly set up Morena Municipal Council and also the Ujjain Municipal Corporation Election. The BJP has captured from Congress Morena, Harda, Bhansdehi, Suvasra, Kotar and Chakghat municipal bodies.

The Congress party could retain only Sarangpur.
