Army-uniformed Terrorists attack Gurdaspur Police Station
Gurdaspur, Punjab : Terror attacks at Police Station in Gurdaspur brings Monday morning events to a reeling halt. Four Fidayeen attackers, camouflaged in Army uniform open daring fire shots injuring half a dozen people and killing 3 civilians and 2 Policemen. Terrorists and Police exchanged fires, resulting in successful gunning down of one of the four attackers by the Force.
Incident occurred at the early hours today, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an emergency meet to take immediate cognizance of the situation. Security personnels have been deployed in areas of sensitivity.
Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal has taken prompt action and deputed appropriate police force in and around the attack zone. For further safety of civilians, restrictions have been imposed upon free movement in the vicinity. Rail commuting has taken a toll due to this incident as trains passing along the Pathankot Highway have been delayed for the time being.
