8 bodies recovered from wreckage of US Marine Chopper

Kathmandu: Bodies of eight soldiers – six Americans and two Nepalese service members – on board the ill-fated U.S. military helicopter that disappeared Tuesday night while on a relief mission in an earthquake-hit district of Nepal were recovered today from the wreckage at a high altitude on a mountainside.

The wreckage was spotted on Friday.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, has expressed sadness at the chopper crash in Nepal. In a statement he said, “The chopper crash in Nepal is unfortunate & saddening. India is ready to provide all possible assistance,” the Prime Minister said.
