Kathmandu: The maximum impact of Tuesday’s powerful earthquake about 60 kms East of from Kathmandu was felt in the mountainous and thinly populated Dolakha district where at least 34 people are feared killed and more than a hundred have been seriously injured.
The National Emergency Operation Center of Nepal Wednesday morning reported 65 deaths and 1,988 injuries due to the earthquake on Tuesday. With the latest casualty figures, the death toll from the April 25 quake is expected to rise beyond 8000.
