Bhopal: Chief Minister of the central Indian State of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Tuesday that the wants to express full solidarity with the Nepal earthquake victims.
Chouhan urged the people of Madhya Pradesh to come forward and donate liberally for relief to the earthquake victims. The Chief Minister was addressing a condolence meeting in the State capital. A one-minute silence was also observed throughout the state at 11 am on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister said that borders of states and countries are man-made. Entire world and humanity is one. There are different religions and Ways to worship but God is one. Besides thousands klled in Nepal, a large number fo oeple have also died in West Bengal and Bihar due to the earthquake, he said adding this is time to express solidarity and serve the suffering humanity.
The Chief Minister said that funds for relief to earthquake victims will be collected in the state from May 5 to 15. Funds deposited in CM Relief Fund will be transferred to PM’s Relief Fund. He said that entire state has responded positively to appeal for help to earthquake affected persons.
