New Delhi: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team today intercepted and arrested two persons at Satna Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh, Central India, and recovered fake Indian currency notes (FICN) to the face value of Rs.10,39,500 from their possession.
The CBi has registered a case against the accused underr section 120 B read with 489B and 489 C of Indian Penal Code (IPC0. One of the arrested persons, a resident of Malda (West Bengal) had arrived at Satna Railway Station by Howrah Mumbai Superfast Express from Bardhaman (West Bengal). He was carrying the fake currency to hand it over to another person, a resident of adjoining Rewa district bordering Uttar Pradesh. The CBI has learnt that the fake currecny was to be circulated in the Satna area of Madhya Pradesh.
Both the arrested persons will be produced before Special Judicial Magistrate, CBI cases in Jabalpur (MP).
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation today filed a chargeheet against former Union Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Madhu Koda; industrialist Naveen Jindal, H C Gupta, the then Secretary Union Ministry and ex-Chairman, 35th Screening Committee; six others based at Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad and five Delhi and Hyderabad based private firms, including Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, Jindal Realty Pvt Ltd before the Special Judge, Patiala House Courts here for alleged conspiracy in the allocation of Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block located in the State of Jharkhand on the recommendation of the 35th Screening Committee.
The charge-sheet has been filed under section 120-B read with section 420 of IPC and section 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988
CBI had registered a case on the allegation of irregularities in allocation of Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in the State of Jharkhand. It was alleged that two Steel and Iron companies based in Delhi misrepresented facts to get coal blocks. Also, there was alleged investment in a Hyderabad based firm from the group of companies based at Delhi.
Searches were conducted on June 11,2013 at 19 locations in Delhi and Hyderabad in connection with the case. After thorough investigation, CBI filed a chargesheet today.
New Delhi: Government of India has signed a ceasefire agreement with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Reformation) [NSCN/R].
The agreement was signed by Shambhu Singh, Joint Secretary, MHA and Wangtin Konyak and P.Tikhak, co-convenors on behalf of NSCN/R. The Ceasefire and the mutually agreed Cease Fire Ground Rules will apply for a period of one year with effect from April 28, 2915.
The Government of India has also extended the ceasefire with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khole-Kitovi) [NSCN/KK] for a further period of one year from April 28, 2015. The agreement for this was signed again by Shambhu Singh on behalf of Government of India and Jack Jimomi, Supervisor, GPRN/NSCN on behalf of NSCN/KK.
The Government of India has decided not to engage with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang) [NSCN/K] any longer and therefore the earlier Ceasefire agreement with NSCN/K is no longer valid.
Bhopal:A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday gave clearance for setting up the world’s biggest 750 MW solar power plant in the state.
The solar power plant will be set up in Gurh tahasil of Rewa district in eastern part of the central Indian State. It has been decided to form a joint company to establish this ultra mega solar plant.
World Bank will provide loan for the project and under the government policy, New & Renewable Energy Department will permit use of revenue land for the project. The Power Grid Corporation will provide grid linkage and transmission lines for power to be generated by this project.
Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company will purchase 40 percent of the power generated by this project
