New Delhi/Patna: After repeat tremors, measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale, in Kathmandu and surrounding areas, the airport in the Capital of Nepal was shut down for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon.
Due to the aftershock and closure of the kathmandu airport, relief operations by India were suspended for till 4 pm Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has called for a review meeting to assess India’s role in extending relief and help for rebuilding operations in earthquake devastated Nepal later this afternoon said ”India will do its best to wipe the tears of every Nepali, hold their hands and stand with them.” The Prime Minister was speaking at on the radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’.
strong tremor and aftershock was also felt in Patna, the capital of Bihar in India on Sunday afternoon.
According to available reports, the casualty due to earthquake rose to 51 in Bihar and 14 in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.
