Delhi Crime Branch cracks murder of ex-MLA, arrests 5 accused
New Delhi: Murder of Ex-MLA Bharat Singh Solved with the arrest of five accused and seizure of three sophisticated weapons, including a Carbine and 20 live cartridges by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police.
The mastermind of the conspiracy to commit the murder of ex-MLA of Delhi Bharat Singh of Dichaon Kalan, Najafgarh has been apprehended along with three other sharp shooters responsible for the murder. One automatic carbine, two sophisticated pistols along with magazines and cartridges have been recovered.
On March 29, 2015, Bharat Singh, the ex-MLA, had gone to attend a social function at Abhinandan Vatika at Najafgarh. At around 7: 30 pm, there were sounds of gun fire at the AbhinandanVatika. The local police, on reaching the spot, found five individuals,Bharat Singh Ex-MLA, head constanble Ramjeevan of Delhi Police, PSO, Daljeet Singh, personal PSO of Bharat Singh, Sunita and Paras both residents of Najafgarh with multiple gunshot injuries. They were immediately removed to hospital, where Bharat Singh succumbed to the injuries.
Since, it was a sensational incident, the crime branch teams were also tasked to apprehend the conspirators and perpetrators of the crime. Sources were deployed and the teams worked with full dedication. On April 4, the Police received specific information that the main conspirators and shooters would come to Siraspur, Alipur, Delhi. On this information, a trap was laid and three persons were apprehended. They were later identified as Udaiveer alias Kale(40 ) Pradhan Sunil (25), both residents of Najafgarh and Pehalwan Sube (23) of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. They were subjected to intensive interrogation. They disclosed that one of their associates would come to Pooth-Khurd, Bawana. On this information, a trap was laid and Mohit Nagar alias Monu alias Chand (21) of Sonepat in Haryana was apprehended. One 9 MM automatic carbine,two sophisticated 9 MM pistols and four magazines along with 20 live cartridges were recovered from a bag that was in his possession. All have been arrested under the appropriate sections of the law.
All the arrested persons were subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that the murder was outcome an ongoing personal enmity arising out of family feud of Najafgarh area. The entire conspiracy for the murder was hatched by mastermind Udaiveer alias Kale.
The enmity began in the year 2002, when Krishan Pehalwan eliminated Udaiveer’s father Surajmal, his brother Sukhbir Singh and his uncle Naryan Singh at vill- Palda,Rai, Sonepat, where they had gone to attend a marriage function. Again in theyear 2009, Udaiveer had purchased three acre land from three persons, who were allotted land by government. Bharat Singh, brother of Krishan Pehalwan knew that this piece of land cannot be sold or purchased and he provoked one of the three and got registered a case against Udaiveer. Subsequently, he also sought support from Udaiveer for his election in 2009. But Udaiveer refused to support him and supported the opposite party in the election.
In the year 2012, Udaiveer met Vicky and Kuldeep both from the Najafgarh area. Vicky and Kuldeep were also having enmity with Bharat Singh, as Bharat Singh had misbehaved with their paternal aunt. He along with Vicky, Kuldeep, Satish, Virender alias Bholu, Naveen, Ravinder alias Meenu, Rajender and Padam Dagar planned the attack on Bharat Singh and executed the plan on June 2, 2012 but Bharat Singh survived the attack.
Meanwhile, Hemant , nephew of Udayveer, whose father Sukhbir Singh had also been murdered by the associates of Krishan Pehalwan, was desperate to take revenge for the murder of his father and other atrocities committed by Bharat Singh and Krishan Pehalwan. Hemant, who had information that on March 29, Bharat Singh will be attending a function at Abhinandan Vatika, arranged the weapons to eliminate him.
On March 29,, Hemant along with Nitin, Ravi alias Chooza of Dichaon Kalan, Monu alias Chand of Sonepat, Haryana, Ravi of Kanpur, Pradhan Sunil of Najafgarh, Pehalwan Sube of Jhunjunu Rajasthan and Devaof Farukhnagar met at the residence of Udaiveer and planned the attack on Bharat Singh. The weapons arranged by Hemant included several firearms, including pistols and carbine. Nitin and Ravi went on a black motor cycle arranged by Nitin to Abhinandan Vatika. Hemant and others went in a white Scorpio vehicle arranged by Hemant and owned by Amit alias Sonu, a relative of Hemant. They all assembled near the Najafgarh Anaj Mandi. Udaiveer, the main conspirator remained at his residence.
Hemant sent Nitin and Monu alias Chand to verify the presence of Bharat Singh at the Vatika. Nitin confirmed Hemant on cellphone about the presence of Bharat Singh. After that they entered the Vatika and started firing indiscriminately at Bharat Singh.Hemant, Pradhan Sunil, Ravi alias Chooza and Deva sustained bullet injuries. They then escaped and went to the house of Manjeet Mahal in Najafgarh. Meanwhile, Udaiveer also came there. Subsequently, they fled from Delhi in the Scorpio.
A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) K P S Malhotra, and comprising of inspectors Kulbir, Surinder Singh Sandhu, Sunil Kumar, P C Yadav, ArvindYadav,Pankaj Singh,Vijay Kumar Rastogi, sub-inspectors Ritesh Kumar, Neeraj Kumar, Vishal Choudhary,Sandeep Yadav, Mandeep, SanjeevYadav, Dataram, Gurmeet, Brahamdev, VijaySamaria, RavinderTeotia, Ravinder, Assistant sub-inspectors Jai Parkash, Rakesh Ahluwalia, Yatender,Manoj, head constables Ajeet, Resham Singh,Vijender, Surender Rathee, AbheySingh, Santraj, Kartar, Dinesh, Bijender, Narender Godara, Suresh,Satish, Jai Parkash, Constables Prem Singh, Sandeep, Praveen, Ajay, Hari Kishan, Ranjeet, Vijender,Vikram, Satbir, Ravi, Anil, Satender, Arjun, Satpal, Lalaram, Ankit, Jitender, Anoop,Naresh,Brijesh Pandey Vinod, Sushil, Sunil, Dayaram, Rahul, Pravesh, Sunil Pandey, and Mohit under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and overall supervision of Addl Commissioner of Police Ashok Chand worked out the sensational case of murder of the ex-MLA of Delhi Bharat Singh.
Another team of the Crime Branch led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dinesh Gupta, and inspector. Ashok Kumar has apprehended Raman Gurang (43), a resident of Nahan in, Himachal Pradesh for also beingthe part of the conspiracy. He is an Ex ASI of Punjab Police and was working as PSO of Udaiveer.
