Paris: Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin today said that the black box recovered after the crash of the Germanwings Airbus A320 in the French Alps indicates that Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot of the ill-fated Germanwings Airbus A320, deliberately sent the plane into accelerated descent.

Giving shocking details of the final moments before the jetliner crashed in the Alps killing 150 people onboard, the French prosecutor said on the basis of data recovered from the black box that the co-pilot had locked the cockpit door keeping the captain out and then put the plane in the descent mode–something that can only be done manually.
