Double murder: Delhi Police arrests two gangsters
- Two pistols and 7 live cartridges seized
- Both gangsters were wanted in a double murder case
- Two members of rival gang – Bijender “Bidi” and Ghanshyam “Ashu” were shot dead March 11 in Shiva Suri’s house
New Delhi: A team of Special Cell of Delhi Police yesterday arrested notorious gangster Shiva Suri (22) and his associate Avdesh Yadav “Gabbar” (27). The police seized a sophisticated 9 MM pistol and 4 live cartridges from Shiva and another pistol, a .32 bore, with 3 live cartridges from Gabbar.
An FIR under Section 25 of the Arms Act was registered against them today by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. With their arrest, a sensational case of double murder under the Bindapur police station has been solved.
Following a PCR call, the Bindapur Police had found two bullet ridden bodies on the roof of Shiva suri’s house in Mansaram Park here on March 11. The dead were identified as Bijender “Bidi”,also a resident of Mansaram Park and Ghanshyam, a resident of Budh Vihar. They had been shot dead in typical filmy style. More than 10 rounds were found fired by the accused persons. 8 live cartridges and 6 empties of .32 caliber and 6 live cartridges and 2 empties of a 9 MM were found scattered on the spot. An FIR was registered in this case bythe POlice under Sections 302/34 IPC and 25/27 of the Arms Act by the Bindapur POlice.
Sleuths of Special Cell deployed their sources and developed information about persons behind the heinous crime. Police efforts led to the arrest of the two notorious members of a criminal gang, including its kingpin Shiva Suri. On the basis of secret information a trap was laid near Agarsen Engineering college at Rohini on on March 14 and both the wanted persons were arrested. During sustained interrogation, it was revealed that both the deceased persons were also involved in criminal activities in that area. Bijender was previously involved in 12 criminal cases whereas Ghanshyam had 16 criminal cases of robbery,dacoity, kidnapping, burglary, extortion, arms act, and attempt to murder against him in various police stations of Delhi.
Accused Suri and deceased Bijender were co-accused in two cases in the year 2012 in Delhi. Both had kidnapped one Suraj Kumar, an employee of Tata Croma, who was robbed of his car and personal belongings including cash at gun point in the area falling under Safdarjung Enclave Polcie station in Delhi. Both had fired upon one Bijender Singh, a businessman in a road rage case in the Dwarka area of Delhi. Shiva Suri was released on bail in these cases in October 2013, however, Bijender @ Bidi came out from jail only about 2 months ago. He came to know that Suri had earned enough money by carrying out extortions and property dealing by using his name. Upon his release from jail, he started putting pressure on Suri to give him a share. Suri paid Rs. 2.5 lakh to Bijender but his demands kept increasing. Suri got annoyed by Bijender’s constant demand for money. He was also annoyed with his associate Ghanshyam who threatened Suri on March 11 of dire consequences if he did not pay up.
After that Suri along with his associates Pradeep Rana, a resident of village Ghevra in Delhi, Nitin Narula “Appu” and Avdesh “Gabbar” planned to eliminate Bijender and Ghanshyam. As per their plan both the deceased were invited by Suri at his house for dinner and also for sorting out the matter amicably. When they arrived at Suri’s hous on March 11, there was brief discussion which soon turned into a heated argument between Suri and Bijender. Now both Bijender and Ghanshyam were shot dead by Suri and his associates Appu, Gabbar and Pradeep Rana. More than 10 rounds were fired.
Suri has been nvolved in 3 other criminal cases, including attempt to murder, robbery, kidnapping,assault, Arms Act. Gabbar also has 3 criminal cases against him. Pradeep Rana is a contract killer who fires at the slightest provocation. Pradeep Rana along with Appu had shot dead one cable operator Satish in the Bawana area in 2009 for extortion. Pradeep Rana is wanted in another murder case – that of one Daljeet.
