Southeasterlies are likely to smash into the North Island, and these could also be real harsh near the Bay of Plenty, Auckland City and Waikato.

The Vanuatu residents have done everything in their command to manage the fury of nature and its harsh impact. Helicopters have moved to safer area and emergency services in Vanuatu are on full alert.

A Vanuatu resident posted a graphical account of preparations to face the cyclone on a social networking site. Trees have been chopped, things moved and plants replanted to save them from the cyclone, all garden furniture is packed up….and a million things have been done to ready the house. Now they sit in a darkened house with only a few windows and doors open waiting. The reports are vague and conflicting. Some say that the Cyclone would pass about 100 km to the East but others say that it will still be devastating.
