Nitish elected JD(U) Legislature Party leader

Patna, Feb. 7: After Bihar Chief Minister Jitu Ram Manjhi failed to get the Cabinet recommendation for dissolution of Bihar Assembly, the JD(U) legislators today elected former chief minister Nitish Kumar as the Jd(U) Legislature Party leader.

Nitish Kumar had resigned as chief minister after his party was defeated in the Lok Sabha elections last year.

The JD(U) Leguislature Party meting was called by party chief Sharad Yadav.
