Bhopal, Feb. 7: Madhya Pradesh chief minister shivraj Singh Chouhan was given a rousing welcome at the airport on his return from the US, where he had gone to interact with business leaders and launch the global initiative–the Friends of MP forum and its website friendsofmp.com.

Mr.Chouhan described his US visit as highly successful from the point of view of State’s development and also fo building Madhya Pradesh as an important destination for investment. People’s perspective about Madhya Pradesh has changed not only within India but even abroad, he observed.

Earlier setting the tone and blueprint for facilitating business coinciding with the chief minister’s return from the US, Madhya Pradesh Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment S.N. Mishra said at a workshop on “‘Ease of Doing Business” at Institute for Environmental Studies here that the state government is committed to fulfilling expectations of investors willing to establish industries in Madhya Pradesh. Expeditious measures are being taken to provide facilities to investors by Urban Development and other departments.
