Supreme Court order forces government to withdraw CBI officer’s repatriation order

north block 3New Delhi, Feb. 5: Government of India’s Department of Personnel and Training, was today forced to follow the Supreme Court directions of May 8, 2013 and withdraw its order of May 12, 2014 regarding premature repatriation of V. Murugesan, IPS (UK:1997), DIG CBI.

Today’s order states that Mr. Murugesan will continue in CBI till the apex Court allows his repatriation.

Another order issued today by the Central Government relates to the approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) to the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary Rural development for three months to Vandana Kumari Jena, IAS (OR:79). She is secretary Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development.

The ACC has also accorded the ex-post-facto approval for extension of central deputation tenure of S. Kishore, IAS (WB:89), Development Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited at Achutapuram, Vishakhapatnam for a period from March 11, 2014 to December 31, 2014.
