Bhopal. Jan. 12: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today underlined the importance of Yoga and said that Surya Namaskar is an ideal exercise to keep the whole body fit.
The chief minister said that mass Surya Namaskar Programme is being organised in schools so that the young students could realise its importance. Even the West is accepting importance of Yoga, he said adding on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, United Nations Organisation has declared June 21 as Yoga Day. He asked the children to practice Yoga and Pranayam daily to stay healthy.
Mr. Chouhan was addressing a mass Surya Namaskar Programme at a boys Higher Secondary School. He said that Swami Vivekananda used to say that nothing is impossible for a human being. Life should not be wasted but used in a better way, he always used to emphasise.
The chief minister told the children that he does Sukshm Vyayam, Surya Namaskar and Pranayam. He also performed Sukshm Vyayam, Surya Namaskar and Pranayam with children.
